A GUIDE TO DESIGN, MANAGEMENT AND PROCUREMENT

One-Day Training Course / 9am to 5pm

Provides simple and practical guidance to managers, designers, supervisors and operators on how to recognise and deal with typical human-factor problems involving alarm systems in the energy, process, transport and utilities industries. This course will assist you to prevent accidents similar to the explosion and fires at the Milford Haven refinery in 1994 which injured twenty-six people and caused damage of around £48 million and significant production loss

All participants will receive a free copy of the book recommended by the HSE - "Alarm Systems, A Guide to Design, Management and Procurement, EEMUA Publication No.191", price £104.

If possible, participants should bring some examples of their systems for use during the course exercises and the work in syndicate groups.

Substitutions may be made at any time, but an administrative charge of £50 will be made for any bookings cancelled up to 14 days before the start of the course. After this time no fees are refundable.
