Managing the risk of major incidents
Major incidents can have severe consequences for people, the environment, assets and company reputations. Inspection and integrity management are therefore a key consideration in managing safety and the risks of major incidents. EEMUA’s work in this area focuses on checking that plant has been built, modified and maintained against requirements, as well as ensuring the competence of inspection personnel. EEMUA also provides the secretariat for the European Committee of User Inspectorates, enabling best practice to be shared across Europe.
