Before registering
Please note:
-
EEMUA strongly recommends that you have a valid Certificate of Competence for TankAssessor before taking Tank Integrity Manager. There will be an Initial Knowledge Test in the Induction part of the course and a limited amount of Tutor support will be made available before the course begins.
-
TankStrategies recertfications are handled only by the Tank Integrity Manager certification process from December 2024. TIM is different to TankStrategies in the following ways:
a. TankStrategies developed the skills from TankAssessor into a more advanced form. TIM focuses on expanding a different set of practical skills and how to apply them in real world contexts.
b. TIM teaches the Learners to make choices based on the sort of information that comes out of a tank inspection/assessment, rather than how to do that inspection/assessment. So in this way, TIM broadens the Learners’ knowledge rather than deepening it.
c. TIM teaches the Learners how to work as part of a team, come to a consensus decision, and how to present the decision to senior management.
d. There is a more managerial focus in TIM than was the case with TankStrategies.
