Conformity Assessment Module (Art. 10 & Annex III). A detailed specification of design checking, inspection and certification requirements. They involve either a certified QA system operated by the manufacturer or direct inspection by a third party, or a combination of the two. The modules are general ones and are used in directives other than the PED.
