Mechanical engineering's core principles and tools, methods such as computer-aided engineering, and product lifecycle management are used to design and analyse many aspects of process and power plants.
EEMUA offers a wide range of training, events and guidance to its member-company mechanical engineers. The scope of its publications covers specialised information on Hazop approaches to particular types of mechanical plant – such as rotating machinery – and a range of guidance on plant integrity and life-cycle management. EEMUA also offers specialist training and competency for mechanical engineers on tank design and operation, and subsea engineering.
