Event Details
The establishment of IEC 61508 as a standard for functional safety might be viewed as a turning point – a point of industry awakening to many of the broader issues of safety from a system and procedural point of view.
For the process industries the logical follow-on was development of IEC 61511. But the story doesn’t end there, anymore than the process industries alone own functional safety.
Some industries might be justified in claiming that they already had better functional safety practices than the process industries and in other industries the pace of change is such that good practice may already be in development which might be found applicable to Industry 4.0. In this seminar, in addition to looking at the guidance in the new edition of EEMUA 222 we will also be aiming to find out what the process industries can learn from the application of functional safety elsewhere.
Programme to follow soon.
Attendance is free of charge for delegates from EEMUA Member and Associate companies. For Members and Associates registering on the website for the first time, please note that there is an additional validation step.
