Event Details
Attacks on the IT which controls and ensures the safety of industrial plant are becoming ever more common, sophisticated and potentially damaging. The plant owner must be aware of the full range of possibilities for attack, and must deal appropriately with the vulnerabilities associated with each. In this seminar we look at the trends both in the way that industrial IT is used and at the developing threats and favoured modes of attack. This seminar will include presenters from GCHQ, Context, and Sophos.
EEMUA continues to be active in promoting awareness and good practice through the production of an industry information sheet, which will be discussed during one of the sessions at the seminar.
The information sheet has been designed for use by an on-site engineer who has been tasked with making sure appropriate cyber security protection measures are in place. Written for those with limited prior knowledge, it should still be useful for others by providing a framework to maintain any existing protection measures and increase their confidence in a rapidly changing technical field.
Attendance is free of charge for delegates from EEMUA member companies. For member company users registering on the website for the first time, please note that there is an additional validation step. In this case, we recommend registering for the event only after the ‘Welcome to EEMUA’ communication has been received. This will ensure that once logged in you will have free entry to the event.
Limited spaces are available to delegates from higher education establishments, i.e. staff and full time students, at a reduced rate. All delegates from higher education establishments will be required to provide us with confirmation of their status accordingly, e.g. copy of student ID card, personnel ID card, etc.
Book your place before 26th of September to take advantage of the early bird rate below. A standard rate of £300 will apply to all non-member registrations made on or after the given early bird deadline.

The seminar should be of interest to all those involved with industrial control systems and the business continuity of the industrial plant and processes.
