Early Years Industry Award Winner 2025

We are proud to celebrate excellence and innovation within the early years sector. This year’s award featured two distinct subcategories: Associate Companies and Corporate Members, recognising the efforts of new starters within the engineering field in EEMUA member and associate companies. Candidates had to demonstrate their communication skills, engineering application and leadership in their specific specialism. 

Congratulations to all our winners for their dedication, creativity, and impact in shaping the future engineering.


Early Years Industry Award for Associate Companies 2025

The winner of the Associate Companies category was Sam Williamson, a Graduate Inspection Engineer at TÜV Rheinland Industrial Services.

A prize as runner-up was presented to Kevin Joby, a Process Engineer at TÜV Rheinland Industrial Services.


 Early Years Industry Award for Corporate Members 2025

The winner of the Corporate Members category was  Holly McGowan, a Sustainability Engineer at National Grid Grain LNG.

A prize as runner-up was presented to Beth Aitken, a Process Engineer at Phillips 66 Humber Refinery.


Also shortlisted for the Corporate Members category were Rahimah Mohammed of BOC UK & Ireland and Asgar Naghili of bp.

Stuart Turner Award Winner 2025 

This special recognition celebrates an employee of a member organisation who has made an outstanding impact on our work programme, demonstrating exceptional commitment, collaboration, and innovation.

The recipient of this year’s Stuart Turner Award is Graham Sorbie of SSE. Established to honour the memory of Stuart Turner, an enthusiastic advocate for all things EEMUA. Graham's efforts have played a pivotal role in driving progress and shaping the future of our initiatives and that of other bodies like the Institution of Mechanical Engineers (IMechE) and the Generators Safety Integrity Programme (GenSIP) user groups.


The achievements of all the nominees and winners were celebrated at the EEMUA Annual Dinner held in Knutsford, UK on 12 November.  Thank you to everyone who participated and supports our mission to create meaningful change in industry.
